Abayam – Foundation for Health and Education is an
independent, not-for-profit, non-political charitable organisation. Our primary
purpose is to fund health and education initiatives in Sri Lanka, particularly
in those remote areas in the North and East which are most in need of this support
and are currently under-resourced.   

Provision of free classes and workshops for school children,
training and educating doctors and nurses, running free medical camps, and
donating books, equipment and medicines are only some of the work that the
charity has been proud to sponsor so far. In July this year Abayam Youth
Foundation raised over £2500 through the run/walk/cycle challenge to support
underprivileged A-level students who had been particularly affected during the
pandemic.

This December, we invite you to spread the Christmas cheer by donating to help us fund more such fantastic projects. Our raffle contest will run from the 14^th to the 31^st of December.  Each raffle ticket costs £8. Extra donations can be made beyond the ticket price, and will be gratefully received, and you can buy as many raffle tickets as you would like.
