The loss of my husband has been the most traumatic experience of my life. Not only did I lose the person I loved most in the world, I lost my children's dad, my future dreams and I lost myself.
2014 was a deeply sad and lonely year.
On 31st December 2014, I made a conscious decision to become alive again. I'm choosing to rebuild my life. It'll never be what it was or what I wanted it to be, but it can still be full of laughter, love and excitement. I want a life full of memories and no regrets.
So... Not one to do things by half, I have started to create a list of new experiences to achieve this year. My wonderful father in law, Michael, challenged me to a wing walk. So on the 2nd anniversary of Lee's death, I shall be flying on top of a plane; holding my head high, remembering my wonderful husband with pride.
Since our loss of Lee, we have raised an amazing £33,500 for Farleigh. What a fabulous way to honour a very special person.
Let's continue to support the people who will have the privilege to be cared for by a Farleigh during their darkest days.
Although I have set a target of £1,000, I'd like to think we can beat it, as 'The sky's the limit' (quite literally!).
#feelyourheartbeating - my new moto!
Be grateful for every beat, flutter and moments of love.
