Why not take part in the RNLI Cornwall Virtual Challenge 2021 and help the RNLI save lives at sea. The Challenge is to complete the distance between one of more Cornish Lifeboat Stations by running, walking, cycling, swimming or any other means.

Story

My Dad, Alvin, and I are taking part in the Cornwall RNLI virtual challenge 2021 to help them raise the money they need for their service to run. In Cornwall, and anywhere near the coast, the RNLI is an additional emergency service, yet it runs completely on donations, with volunteers (including my Dad) working incredibly hard to save lives and keep us all safe.

We've decided to spend a day walking 13 miles - the distance from Newquay lifeboat station to St Agnes lifeboat station - in order to raise money for the RNLI. 13 is also the number of lifeboat stations on the coast of Cornwall, so a happy extra reason for our 13 miles! Due to the covid pandemic, the RNLI haven't been able to run their usual fundraising events, and so it's a really key time for us to try to support them where we can.

We'll be doing the walk by the end of March - we're aiming for around Saturday the 20th but are going to keep checking in with the weather in order to pick the best day for it. Also please note that we are not doing the actual walk between Newquay and St Agnes - we will be walking in alignment with the current local travel restrictions.

Thank you for checking out our page - we would love it if you could sponsor us, or even maybe share our page. Thank you again, and stay safe!
