Hello darlings it's me, Abbey! Greetings from the summer 2009.

Well first I must say thank you very much for taking the time to visit my lovely little page -  let me tell you about what I am getting up to this September...

After setting out for the pub on my first night in my fab new summer job up here, who'd have thought I would be signing myself up for the toughest, but arguably most amazing, half marathon in the country!? It must be something in the water (or the wine!)

I will be fundraising in aid of Cancer Research , a charity funded almost entirely by public donations. Statistically, one in three of us will get cancer at some point in our lives. The ten-year survival rate has doubled in the last 30 years so half of the people diagnosed today will still be alive in ten years’ time. However, there is still more work to be done until we can say that we have beaten cancer.

You alone can help change this picture for the better – money you donate will go directly towards funding the work of 4,500 Scientists, Doctors and Nurses nationwide who are working so hard to beat this disease.
