Story
Dame Vera
Lynn Children’s Charity approached me to do the 2.6 challenge as I am an ambassador
for them. This is a fantastic charity which supports children under 5 with
cerebral palsy. It is a charity that is close to my heart because I went there
when I was 6 months old and they supported me and my family. They helped me and my family with physio for me which helped me to be able to sit up, roll and move around as well as walk. Any money that I
raise will help them to carry on the amazing work they do with families and can
make a real difference in the life of a young child like it did for me as I have a cerebal palsy. Having thought long and
hard about this I decided that if I am going to do a challenge then I should
really do a challenge! So my challenge is to row a marathon – that’s 26.2 miles
in 7 days on my concept two rower or to put it another way 42195 meters.
I will split this up over the 7 days and really hope that you will help me to
help them so they can help others like me! Any amount that you can donate, big
or small, will make a difference. If I get enough donations I will
try to get the challenge done quicker, and would like anyone who is supporting
to guess how quickly I could do this in! I will keep you then all posted. This is a link to my para facebook page where I will add updates on my progress and you can also follow me on twitter
