Coronavirus is affecting children's lives in almost every country. Unicef is helping to tackle the impact of this new virus around the world. We are here for children always and we wont stop now.

Story

Alliance for Better Care has now vaccinated over 100,000 patients across East Surrey and Mid-Sussex. As part of this milestone, we are calling on our team and patients to join us as we fundraise for the Unicef Covid Vaccine Fund.

Unicef urgently need funds to expand the scale and scope of their work supporting children affected by coronavirus, especially in countries with weaker health systems. We want to ensure that we support people around the world who don’t have sufficient funds to vaccinate their population or have the infrastructure to arrange a programme like we can in Surrey and Sussex.

We know that if we were to pay for the two doses of vaccine ourselves, it would cost between £5- £20 per person. If you would like to donate the equivalent cost of your vaccine, you can do that through us.

£60 transports 4,205 doses of vaccines

£45 provides cold chain equipment to safely store 500 doses
of vaccine

£30 gives a full kit to protect a health worker, including
boots, gloves, masks and coveralls

£20 buys 781 pairs of gloves for health workers

£10 buys 56 bars of soap to help prevent the spread of the
 disease

£5 provides 1,350 water purification tablets to purify water
in emergency situations

The impact of a large-scale outbreak of coronavirus has been immense. Children are at risk from the disease, but also from the disruption to health and education services, impacts on caregivers, and separation from family members.

Unicef has been working closely with governments and the World Health Organization (WHO) since the start of the coronavirus outbreak. Donations made to our page will help to limit the spread of the virus and reduce the impact on children and families.
