National Three Peaks Challenge · 10 July 2020

As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, we brighten the short lives of babies, children and young people who come to Rainbows. We want them to have fun and make special memories. We are also here to support their loved ones through the most difficult times of their lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This year, Abel will hold different events to raise money and support our chosen Charity.

Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People, provides specialist respite, palliative and end of life care to children and young people with life limiting or life-threatening conditions and support to their families and friends. Only 15% of funding from government bodies goes to them, so they rely on donations.

What we will do to support them:

  • Trek for around 18 hours during the challenge
  • Cover over 28 miles of undulating terrain. Over a full marathon distance, but with 3 hills!
  • Ascend a total of 3000m in a single day
  • Considered one of Britain’s toughest outdoor challenges, the National 3 Peaks Challenge takes in the dizzy heights of Ben Nevis (1,344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Snowdon (1,085m) and our challenge is to do all this in 24 hours!

Our goal is to raise £4000 and to make every step count!

Only with your help we can bring happiness to Rainbows` children and their families.

Thank you,

Abel Team
