Story

Players from Aberystwyth University Football Club will be running a combined 16.9 miles per day throughout April, representative of the 16.9 men per 100,000 who die from suicide each year (ONS, 2019). This is part of a larger event which aims to discuss mental health on our Instagram (aufc_run) and Facebook (AUFC Run for Samaritans) pages. We want to provide a platform for the discussion of various issues around mental health and hopefully help anyone struggling with their own mental health by showing that they are not alone. Furthermore, we will be trying to encourage good mental health practices through exercise and will be encouraging our supporters to run alongside us to try and have a good impact on public mental health. With the lack of running events at the moment we are encouraging the public to run alongside us and hopefully join a big event.

If you are here to donate we greatly appreciate the support and we hope you join us on one or more of the runs, thank you!
