Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2016 · 31 July 2016 ·

Every year 61000 people die from rabies. 99% of cases of human rabies are caused by dog bites. Our team of vets vaccinate the dog population of Jaipur to control rabies and prevent spread to humans. We also run veterinary clinics treating working horses, donkeys, camels, cows and wildlife.

Story

Last year I was lucky enough to visit Help in Suffering and help provide veterinary care to the animals of Jaipur. The charity neuters and vaccinates street dogs as well as providing medical care for a variety of animals. The work carried out by HIS is crucial in preventing cases of rabies in both the animal and human population.

In July Andy and I will be cycling the RideLondon-Surrey 100 on a tandem. We would really appreciate your support - cycling 100 miles will be a huge achievement for me but also for Andy, as he will have to put up with me for 100 miles!
