On Tuesday 24th May, at least 21 people - including 19 children - were killed by an 18-year old gunman at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas , just days before summer break. It is second deadliest school shooting in US history. Uvalde, Texas is a mostly Latino community, with most families economically disadvantaged. 

Everytown For Gun Saftey, is an American non-profit organisation and is the largest gun violence prevention organisation in America - more than 8 million people have joined the movement.  

Everytown helps to prevent gun violence by supporting victims of gun violence, demanding action from elected officials, building communities, advancing gun safety in the courts, enacting and implementing smart gun policies, demanding accountability, and building grassroots organisation* in every state. 

*Grassroots organisation is mobilisation of people from the ground up - using collective action at the local and community level to cause change at the local, regional, national and even international level.
