So what is there to know...
Kidz 2gether, is a small charity in Bolton which cares for autistic children.. Over the years it has managed to secure enough money to pay for the activities and the support that this charity provides to the local community.
However as kids2gether has grown it has struggled to maintain the necessary funding needed; so much so that one of the founders and organisers made the decision to sell her house, moving into one a third of the size simply to keep things afloat.
As with many small charities they are often forgotten about or unheard of, despite the fact that the work they do is invaluable to the many autistic children aged between five and 16 who rely on the club, based at Horwich Resource Centre, Beaumont Road, Horwich.
Bolton Kidz 2gether runs activities which help to stimulate members and help them to learn social and communication skills which is vital for the development of these children. The charity is also a very good support network for parents who are given the opportunity to meet with others who have autistic children because if nothing else it can help them cope.
The charity was set up in March 2005 by Mrs Mason and Mrs Sharrat who both have autistic children.
The range of creative and innovative social and leisure opportunities they offer make such a difference to the lives of many young people with autism around Bolton.
