My name is Jude and I am 8 years old and for 2 years I have wanted to raise money to help others who are less fortunate. We have found a local charity (Home Start South & West Devon) who go into the homes of families when parents need support which in turn will help the children and other family members. The pandemic has made life hard for everyone & more so for some who were already having difficulties. It has felt important to raise money for a local charity supporting families in our community.  

On Sunday 15th August I completed a 10 mile sponsored walk on Dartmoor taking in 10 Tors. It was a typical Dartmoor experience with driving rain, wind, sunshine & blue skies!  We huddled behind a Tor to eat our lunch & battled through the winds. Although there were some steep climbs & my legs were tired I enjoyed the  challenge & was helped by seeing lots of ponies, amazing views  & playing lots of guessing games with my Mum & Granny. I was the champion of the “yes, no” game!
