Hi, my name is Abigail Burns. I am taking part in the finals of Miss Teen Queen UK. One of our tasks is to raise money for their biggest charity, which is the Mad Foundation. I'm a big fan of charities and what they do. Most charities give people a 2nd chance where no-one else does and this makes me look up to these charities, where they make a difference in the world for alot of people.
The whole aim of the Mad Foundation is to help those poor people in the third world countries and a lot of us didnt know those people where there. The Mad Foundation charity works on particular things in these third world countries E.g. education, child welfare, primary healthcare, health education and employment skills. Also the Mad Foundation charity supports the communties in creating better opportunities for those people living in the third world countries.
I am going to Cycle from Scunthorpe to Scotter which is 10 miles return. I was born with a heart murmur, so not only do I hope to raise the profile of the Mad Foundation, this will be a personal fitness challenge for myself.
I have raised money by putting on 2 name the bears. one teddy was donated by my local card factory shop which was placed in my local bowling alley; where i play for their team. Also the other teddy was donated by Dem Manufacturers which was placed in their office.
I have set up my own dog walking business, as i do love and adore animals. All money i make from walking locals dogs everyday is being put towards the mad foundation charity.
Please help me support this worthwhile charity by donating anything you can afford, every penny raised makes a difference.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Mad Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donationDonating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure.
