Story
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community. With more donations and support from you, we can rebuild even more lives.
In April this year, just as the UK went into lockdown, my lovely Daddy suffered from a stroke. Dad was very lucky and pulled through, however recovery is extremely tough, both for him and my family.
Before this happened, I had little knowledge about Strokes and the havoc they wreak, so I'm doing this run to raise awareness and help the Stroke Association continue rebuilding lives. Running has become a solace for me this year and I know my Dad, the rugby hero, will be proud that I'm taking part in a real sporting event!
Anything you can donate would be much appreciated.
