Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
As anyone who has spoken to me in the last few months will undoubtedly know I am training hard for the marathon and have to confess I'm exhausted! Having climbed Kilimanjaro and thought that was hard, I can say that without a shadow of a doubt this is the hardest thing I have ever undertaken. In addition to the problems posed by a dodgy knee, the time you need to dedicate and the physical requirements are proving very challenging to say the least.
There are a number of things keeping me going - the anticipated sense of achievement, the thought of doing this with two of my best friends but also the fact I am doing it for a wonderful charity.
My time on the mountain (Kili that is) gave me the opportunity to speak to people who had been touched by the work of Macmillan - I was astounded and inspired by the stories and it made me proud to be working for them. This has been reinforced by the family's own recent contact with Macmillan nurses - they help at every level.
So please donate as much as you are able - to support me and Macmillan - both of whom will be very grateful.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
