We provide support and information to anyone affected by cardiomyopathy

The Above Average Sports Quiz team and Macca, all turned 40 in 2022. To mark the occasion we're taking on this challenge:

1. to do something physically and mentally for the benefit of our own health (and hopefully have a great sense of achievement)

2. because Tzevai and Will suggested that if Tom went to the dentist for the first time in nearly 20 years they'd run the London Marathon.

3. and most importantly, to raise awareness of Cardiomyopathy, in memory of Ellen's Dad/Will's father in law, Stephen Fryzer, who passed away in 2017 aged 57.

This is an adventure of hope...

In Will and Tom's case it's a couch to 26.2 mile challenge and for Tzevai it's a venture back into running after nearly 7 years away. Macca will just be putting the rest of us to shame...

We're going to need all the motivation we can get, so please sponsor us as we drag ourselves through the streets and battle through all the inevitable niggles over the next 4 months. Every penny will be very gratefully received and appreciated :)

Cardiomyopathy took Stephen far too young and we want to support the cause so that it effects less people and their families. The Fryzers have done a few fundraisers in aid of Cardiomyopathy in the last 5 years including the Stephen Fryzer Memorial Walking football tournament at Merthyr Town FC.

We'll share some training updates on here as we go but you can also listen to the podcast, where we'll be sharing our regular running updates alongside our usually quiz things (and leave us some feedback...) - https://aboveaveragesportsquiz.com/

Thanks for taking the time to read and support us. Muchos gracias. Diolch yn fawr iawn!
