Hey Everyone!

My name is Alessandro and in April 2023 I will run the London Marathon with team Children with Cancer UK. 

I am very excited to run my second marathon, the first time in association to a Charity. 

Unlike cancer in adults, the vast majority of childhood cancers do not have a known cause. 

At Children with Cancer UK, we actively raise and invest money for vital specialist research to save the lives of every child with cancer and keep their family together. Through our investment in research, we are taking forward our understanding of childhood cancer, to give new insights into ways of treating young patients with even the most difficult forms of cancer. We are working to drive up the survival rate still further by developing more effective curative therapies with fewer toxic side effects.

Buongiorno a tutti!

Sono Alessandro e in Aprile 2023 correro' la Maratona di Londra con il team Children with Cancer UK.

Questa sara' la mia seconda maratona, ma la prima in associazione con una societa' di beneficienza. 

A differenza del cancro negli adulti, non si conoscono le cause per la maggior parte dei cancri nei bambini. 

A Children with Cancer UK, raccogliamo e investiamo fondi che destiniamo alla ricerca per salvare le vite dei bambini e mantenere unite le famiglie. Tramite gli investimenti in ricerca, possiamo comprendere meglio il cancro nei bambini e capire come trattarlo, anche nelle forme piu' difficili. Lavoriamo per aumentare il tasso di sopravvivenza sviluppando terapie che sono piu' efficaci e con meno effetti collaterali.
