Royal Parks Half Marathon 2019 · 13 October 2019 ·

All Dogs Matter is a dog rescue and rehoming charity working in and around London to transform the lives of unwanted and abandoned dogs. It also rehomes dogs in need from overseas. Every year All Dogs Matter rescues and rehomes between 350- 400 dogs in desperate need.

Story

In October, Alex and I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon together, in support of All Dogs Matter, a wonderful charity that is close to both of our hearts.

In addition to living with our two entertaining rescue collies, Leo and Flynn, we have had the rewarding experience of fostering over 25 dogs rescued by All Dogs Matter. Most have been from within the UK but we
have also had a couple of challenging additions to our family rescued from overseas. Regardless from where they come from, thanks to the charity they now all have loving, safe, forever homes.

Not only is All Dogs Matter a worthwhile charity to be supported, but there is also an extra special reason for us running the half marathon together: we are celebrating my ‘significant’ birthday, as I move seamlessly into my next decade (though my running may not be quite so seamless by the 10 mile mark!)

Therefore, as a cherry on my birthday cake, I am pledging to match - pound for pound - every donation which Alex and I receive. If that isn’t incentive for us to do well in the event and to attract generous support, I don’t know what is!

No one should feel obliged to make a donation but if you can, we are sure you will help make some dogs’ lives immeasurably better.

Thank you for your generosity
