This cover photo was taken at Hadrian’s wall on 18 Sept last year, a year to the day of the abseil! It was four days before we took the test that would confirm I was pregnant. Such a happy  time, filled with hope and excitement. We visited spectacular places. I wrote about our trip in my journal. Dreaming of one day telling our child about all the adventures we went on before they were even born. 

The anniversary of Joe’s creation brings strong emotions. A huge sadness for the life we never got to share. But also beautiful memories of the pregnancy and how much we will always love our baby.

To mark the  joy me and Brendan felt when we learned we were going to have Joe I am going to take part in the Great Big Hospital Abseil. Braving the 100ft at the John Radcliffe Hospital to raise funds to support other bereaved family’s. It brings great comfort to channel my grief into something so positive in honour of our beautiful baby boy.
