Story
On their journey back from Arab Health 2010, Dan and Richard challenged themselves to next year drive to the 2011 exhibition.
They planned to drive, non-stop, from London to Dubai in a London Black Cab, through 15 countries, over 4000 miles, to The Arab Health Exhibition 2011 all in the aid of GOSHCC in conjunction with the ABHI, UKTI and Medi-Link, sadly this won’t now be able to happen due to the Saudi government declining both Richard and Dans transit visa applications.
Though there always was a backup plan...... Three marathons in three days, running from Abu Dhabi to Dubai which is 75 miles or 121 km though they will be extending the distance so they
Cover the exact 26.2 miles per day starting on the 18th January in Abu Dhabi and finishing on the 20th at the Dubai International convention and Exhibition centre ( home for the Arab health show ) carrying everything they need from water to clothing.
For many years, Dan and Richard have been partial to taking up difficult and charitable challenges in the name of raising money; rowing the channel and the London Marathon to name a couple. So this new challenge seems an excellent way to continue this tradition.
To ensure we can fully follow them from start to finish, one of our official sponsors - The Inkerman Group - have agreed to track and monitor the whole trip so we can see how they get on
