On the 27/12/2021 whilst riding my bike I ruptured the L4-L5 intervertebral disc in my spine. This crushed the nerves that control the muscles in my legs, a condition known as Cauda Equina Syndrome or CES. This has caused some long term damage to the nerves and has drastically reduced my mobility. 

Being the extremely physical and restless person that I am this has lead to some pretty miserable days. So I’ve decided as part of my rehab I need a challenge!

I will be raising money for the @caudaequinachampions who are a charity dedicated to the support of CES. Cauda Equina Champions Charity offer a range of bespoke, tailor made services for people who have had a cauda equina syndrome diagnosis to help them adjust to a new way of life and live their best lives. These include support group meetings, a helpline 03335 777113, peer support services, information, education and well being services.
