Hi,

My name is Amanda and for first time I'll be participating in the Miles For Moggies fundraising event 2023. And I won't be doing it alone, I'll have my trusty companion by my side who has done fun walks before, our pet dog, Boyce, he is 7yrs old and loves people and cats.

As cat lovers we have 6 of our own cats and not forgetting the dog. 1 cat, Charlie ( Ginger Tabby) belongs to my mum but used to belong to my nan before she past away 4-5years ago and is the sister of one my cats. The other 5 belong to me and they are Mei (F), Hope (M), Yuki (F), Ellie (F) and Jiji (M) as you may notice I love Japanese names and my lot are named after either Japanese characters from anime or gaming characters. 

I'm also a volunteer fosterer for my local CP Branch (Hornchurch) and have been since 2015 but I had to volunteer at CP Chelmsford Branch to see how everything works as being a cat carer. My local Branch which are run by volunteers all have their own special qualities from hand raising kittens to dealing with hard to deal with cats but we do get the friendly loving cats, even dealing with TNR, as most of us work we all have time to tend to our own fosterers and our own cats. At end of the day it's nice to see and hear from previous fosterers how they are getting on and puts your heart at peace and sometimes makes you cry.
