Colleagues in the Arco Clothing Centre at Preston are cycling the 21 mile (33.8km) Guild Wheel for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity on the 16th October.  

Agnes says, “The past two years of the Covid pandemic has made us realise how precious our families are to us and how important it is to treasure each moment we have together. We are daughters, wives,  friends and parents, and we know from the experience how important the hospital care is. We decided upon raising money for Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Charity as there will be always someone needing help and support, either as a patient, their family members or tirelessly working NHS staff”.

We would like to support The Children’s Appeal which aims to raise £1 million to create a bright, friendly and appealing environment for all children visiting the hospital and to give children and their families the best possible care and experience from the moment they arrive.

Every year, Children’s services at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals Trust treat over 10,000 children from just one-day to 19-years-old, for conditions ranging from breathing difficulties and broken limbs to mental health conditions. That’s a lot of children, plus their families, who will benefit from the changes the LTHC wants to make.
