The Great Gorilla Run London 2006 · 24 September 2006 ·

With just over 1000 mountain gorillas left in the world and 3 subspecies now critically endangered it is vital we do everything we can to save gorillas from extinction. We protect them from poachers, safeguard their forest home and improve livelihoods in local communities. Will you join us?

Story

On Sunday 24th September we plan to be one of the many crazy people running 7km around the streets of London dressed - from fluffy head to fluffy toe - as a gorilla!  We are doing it to raise funds for the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, the international charity that works to protect the world's last remaining gorillas. By taking part in this furry fundraising challenge we are hoping to build a brighter future for the world's most endangered gorillas.

You can see a video explaining more about the run here:

As many of you know Heather visited Uganda and Rwanda last year to see the gorillas - if anyone is interested in hearing more or seeing some photos then please contact us.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Gorilla Organization will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
