Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Every six months our staff pick a new charity partner.  A cause close to our hearts which are often local charities that don’t have access to big pots of national funding.

This time, we chose Samuel's Promise. They raise vital funds for research into low-grade brain tumours and surgical advancements in memory of 18-year-old Samuel. Samuel was 14 years old when in July 2018 he was diagnosed with pilocytic astrocytoma.

Following many years of complex treatment and surgeries, Samuel passed away in February 2022, aged 18.

His family continue on in his memory, committed to making positive changes in the field of surgery and treatment options for lower-grade brain tumours, ensuring all children have the opportunity to survive.

On 1st September, two friends will be strapping on a parachute to take on the challenge of a lifetime, in aid of Samuel's Promise.

Emily Priestley (Samuel's very brave sister) and Abbie Titchener (Samuel's very brave school friend), will be skydiving to raise vital funds for Samuel’s Promise.

Emily, says; “Jumping out of a plane might seem like an extreme thing to do for charity but juvenile brain tumours remain incredibly under-researched, and I am convinced that different treatment options might have given my brother a chance."
