With a disability, you can end up feeling like you can’t do very much.   JET and Acorn make you realise that you can do more.

We (Salem Karadsheh & Alex Smyth) are running Jersey Marathon on 2nd of October and raising Funds for the Jersey Employment Trust.

The Jersey Employment Trust is a registered charity that helps people who have a disability or long-term health condition gain and sustain employment.

This year it is celebrating its 20th anniversary – 20 years of transforming lives.

Acorn Enterprises in Trinity is its social enterprise, comprising Acorn Reuse, the plant nursery and the Woodshack. Every penny they make goes back into life-changing opportunities for their clients.

All of Acorn’s projects:

*offer work and training opportunities to people who have a disability or long-term health condition

*benefit the environment

*help low-income families and other charities too
