Acorns Children’s Hospice

Acorns Children's Hospice offers care and support to children from the age of 0-18 with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.

There are 3 hospices located in Birmingham, Worcester and Walsall which are currently supporting over 850 children and their families from the West Midlands at the hospices themselves and in the family’s homes.

Acorns treat every child as an individual and take a holistic approach where a package of care is tailored to them and takes into account their
medical, dietary, cultural and spiritual needs.

The hospices are designed to be a home-from-home environment and there are a range of facilities to help with the children’s specialist needs including a hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory room and complementary therapies.

Play and activity areas make their time at Acorns as fun as possible and the care team arrange activities, trips and days out for the children and
their siblings to make the most of day and create special memories for
their families.

Acorns do not only care for the child, they also provide support to the whole family to help them cope at every stage of their child's life and beyond into bereavement.

Acorns Children's Hospice aims is to make a relaxing, safe and fun environment for our children and young people and create memories for them and their families so when they look back on their child’s life it is one full of happiness.

It costs £850 a day to fund care for one child.

Acorns Angels are a group of part-time university students who are fundraising to help support this fantastic charity.

With your help we want to raise at least £500.

We have developed a fantastic web page called tap500.com where businesses, large and small can make a donation by purchasing blocks to promote their business until February 2018. To purchase a block simply make a minimum donation of £10, multiple blocks can be purchased.
