This year's charity St Christopher's Hospice are doing a Parachute Jump to raise funds. The Acorns have been given  5 places and are donating £200 (half the minimum amount) to each person willing to take part.

1)         Minimum sponsorship of £400 is raised – (£200 after deducting the Acorns £200).

2)         The jump date is Sunday July 25th 2010.

It will be a tandem jump from between 10,000 and 15,000 feet. I have been assured that it is very safe and that even if both the instructor and the volunteer were to be knocked out the parachute would still open at a certain altitude! 10,000 feet is a long way up, though once the parachute is open I am told the jumpers will be in awe of the view!

We have the brave (or should that be totally insane?!) Helen Parker, Natty Nkomo, James Cant, Michelle Swift and Matt Miller taking part.

It will be held at Maidstone Airfield with friends and family more than welcome to attend.

The aim is to raise as much money as possible through sponsorship and we would value your support. £10 would go a long way but any amount will be gratefully received; part of the money raised pays for the tuition and jump costs, whilst the remainder goes directly to the charity. If you are a tax payer please tick the gift aid box so we can claim back any tax you have paid on your donation - currently 28p for every £1 you donate.
