St Luke’s is an independent charity caring for terminally ill adults and their loved ones across Sheffield. Each year, we care for around 1,900 patients most of whom are cared for in their own home by our Specialist Palliative Care Community team.

Story

Sadly in March this year we lost our dear friend and colleague Andy, after a brave and dignified battle with cancer.

Whilst Andy was fighting this awful disease we had been planning a charity bike ride to raise money for cancer research - something that Andy was really keen on taking part in.

As a team we want to continue with the bike ride, this time in Andy's memory, and so 9 of us will cycle 'coast to coast' from Cumbria to Northumberland. We'll backed up by the rest of the team who will be there supporting us along the way. That's over 120 miles and 5,000 feet of climbing along the way and, having done some training rides in the area, there's a lot of hills !

We'll be raising money for St Lukes Hospice, who really helped Andy and his family when they needed support - if you'd like to donate please choose the charity you would like to support.

Thank you for your support
