Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Hooray we finally made it to the other side for a well earned hot chocolate and a bottle of red. Thought it would never end but so glad we have completed the challenge. Thanks to everyone who has sponsored us so far and its still not too late to sponsor us so please give generously.

Oh my goodness we are nearly there, we can practically smell the croissants. Can\'t wait to swim our last lengths tomorrow.

We have also spent many enjoyable hours watching the Olympics and Paralympics over the Summer and our particular inspiration for raising money for Aspire is our neighbour Kylie Grimes who represented GB at Wheelchair Rugby.

I am doing this swim to get strong again and fix my arm which I broke just before the start of the summer holidays. My mum is keeping me company so we can encourage each other to get to the \\\"other side\\\".
