We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

Prostate Cancer kills one man every 45 minutes, that's 2 men during one football match! To do our bit to help reduce that number, Active Chartered Financial Planners are taking part in the gruelling 'Football to Amsterdam' cycling challenge covering 150 miles over 2 days.

Active Directors Karl Pemberton, Paul Gibson, Karl Nendick along with Andy Mitchell, who completed the ride in 2018 are attempting to complete this year's challenge.

The team will begin the journey on 7th June, kicking off the route at Barnsley FC. We will then cycle to Hull where they will board the overnight ferry to Rotterdam. Day 2 involves a scenic route to Amsterdam along the Dutch cycle paths, with the event culminating at Amsterdam's Johan Cryff Arena.

Andy Mitchell comments "Last year's trip was excellent! The scenery along the route was beautiful and it's such an fantastic cause; prostate cancer could affect any man".

They are hoping to raise £5000 for the charity, so if you kindly like to donate that would be warmly welcomed! Many thanks.
