We provide hospice care for babies, children and young people living with life-limiting conditions and their families. Hospice stays, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at 3 children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Story

Inspired by Radio 1’s Gregg James and his ‘Gregathlon (pedal to the peaks)’, Active Soul UK has organised a BRUTAL THREE PEAK challenge with the aim of raising over £10k for Children’s Hospice South West.

A three peak challenge normally consists of climbing the 3 highest peaks in the UK within a 24hr period. It is a massive challenge! We have decided to make it 'slightly' harder and remove the use of a car between the mountains and replace it with a bike. We appreciate that this would make doing it in 24hrs impossible, so we have given ourselves 6 days, starting from Monday 15th July.

Day 1 – Climb Ben Nevis (4412ft) & ride to
Hamilton (116 miles)

Day 2 – Ride from Hamilton to
Wasdale (134 miles)

Day 3 – Climb Scafell Pike (3,208ft) &
ride to Wigan (98 miles)

Day 4 – Ride from Wigan to Llanberis
(107 Miles)

Day 5 – Climb Snowdon (3,559ft) & ride to
Builth (124 miles)

Day 6 – Ride Builth to Bristol
(86 miles)

6 days, 3 mountains and 665 miles of cycling!

All costs are being funded by the team, so all donations will go entirely to the Children's Hospice South West. After visiting the Hospice and seeing the amazing work that's done there, we are all passionate about reaching our fundraising goal.

The team consists of Paul Dennett, Josh Stawrowski, Marc Thomas, Rob Keitch, Scott Knapp, Ed Green and a support crew.

The build up is currently in fill swing, with a multitude of triathlons, marathons, sportives and hill climbing being undertaken. The main difficulty is trying to get out together for rides, whilst juggling family commitments!

Many thanks to Close Brothers Asset Management for sponsoring the team cycling kit!
