Virgin London Marathon 2013 · 21 April 2013 ·

We understand that navigating the complexities of limb loss and limb difference can be completely overwhelming. We provide excellent, FREE, accessible information and advice to empower all amputees and those with limb difference, and families and friends, to lead independent and fulfilled lives.

Story

Back in September, myself and Sam completed the Bristol Half Marathon. Immediately after i said i would never run again. 1 week after that and i convinced Sam to run the London Marathon with me!

We dont want to stop at a Half Marathon, we want to do the whole thing!!! And we especially want to raise more money for David Ruddock, my uncle who died February 2012, after battling his injuries from a car accident ten years previously.

For me personally, there is no way i could have done the half marathon without David, and this time I'm gonna need Sam there aswell, its going to be tough, but if we dont push ourselves, whats the point?

We're running for The Limbless Association, who help amputees from all walks of life recover from their disability. In particular, they help to council victims, which is something David believed very much in and was active in our community to help others.

We have set ourselves a massive target here, but we are sure we can reach it and will be canvassing like crazy to get donations. We know that times are hard and pockets are emptier. Believe me, i have wanted to donate to other causes in the past but felt i couldn't, so if you can donate any amount of money, we would be eternally grateful. Just give up that newspaper for one day, or avoid that takeaway for one night, and I can guarantee that me and Sam will run our socks off for your donation.

Please keep checking back for updates about fundraising events which we will update you guys about soon! We will update the page regularly with posts, photos etc. This is a BIG challenge, but we're positive we will succeed.

Cheers everyone,

Adam
