Nerve Tumours UK provides support and information, as well as campaigns and raises awareness on behalf of over 26,500 people in the UK who have NF, the group name for Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), NF2-related-Schwannomatosis (NF2) and Schwannomatosis (SWN).

Story

Hi! Adam and Ben here; we'll be streaming 24 hours of livegames for a whole weekend in July (from 2pm on the 20th through to 2pm on the 21st). You'll be able to watch us on www.twitch.tv/v_shadow for the entire thing. We'll be taking regular breaks during the stream, aiming for 5 minutes every hour.

We're doing this to raise awareness and support for people like our friend George. Sadly, George passed away in March of this year after quietly fighting Neurofibramatosis. He and his family gained invaluable support from Nerve Tumours UK throughout his battle, and we want to do what we can to repay that kindness in his honour.

We've set a goal of £240; £10 for every hour we're online. Anything you can give will make a world of difference to families like George's, and we'll be personally thanking everyone who donates during our live stream.

If you can't sponsor us, but would still like to support, we'll be setting up some small challenges during the live event which you can participate in to help spread the word and raise funds from our sponsors (friends).

If you'd prefer we didn't say your name on stream, or you have a preferred name for us to use, please let us know in your donation message.

Current challenges:

Sam (samngliv) has pledged an extra £1 for every new Twitch follower Ben gets during the stream (to a maximum of £50).

If you'd like to set a challenge for us, you can tweet us @dinnydorf and @V_Shadow_UK

I'm supporting Nerve Tumours UK because their mission means a great deal to me. They provide crucial support to people living with the Neurofibromatoses- the conditons that cause nerve tumours. They are dominant genetic conditions, which means that they can be passed on in families from one generation to the next through genetic inheritance. Similarly, about half of nerve tumours cases recorded have no previous family history of the condition. In other words, it can occur totally “out of the blue”. Please help me bolster their support.
