We have decided Year 2013! Is a time for Action here is our story:

Shaun my civil partner had a massive Heart Attack at the age of 43 years old in May 2011.

Subsequently he has been left with severe heart failure.We both have had to have major lifestyle changes but for Shaun this has rendered him somewhat disabled with the activities he used to be able to do, including work.

We have had news that Shaun's condition has got worse over the last 18 months and a transplant would be on the cards if he was a likely candidate, this however isn't the case.

There is an operation pending which has left us with some hope for the future.Shaun has to lose weight as part of this hope for the future which has been incredibly difficult for him, not being active and being fatigued with anything he does.

Shaun has now decided he is determined to lose weight and would like to be sponsored to encourage and support him (which would prolong his life and ease his symptoms somewhat)

We have set up a target for him that is realistic, he has signed up for the gym (for light excercise that will be monitored).

The sponsorship money will go to the British Heart Foundation (Mending Broken Hearts Appeal) as this campaign gives hope for a cure through stem cell treatment.

Shaun is 20st at present and is aiming for 17st and below as his target weight this being 3st = 42lb.
