I will once again be taking part in the Great North Run in September to raise money for JDRF. JDRF is the Type 1 Diabetes charity and funder of world-class medical research to cure, prevent and treat Type 1 Diabetes. We have been fortunate enough to benefit first hand from the great work JDRF do through their support for young people living with Type 1, such as our son Harry. 

As many of you know, running is not a particularly fond pastime of mine, however I am keen to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity and the research they do, as well as create a healthy & active image for Harry - something that plays a hugely important role in the effective management of his T1D. 

Please give as much or as little as you can - I will certainly remember it as I'm pavement plodding my way round Newcastle!
