I am taking part in this years great north run 2023 to raise money for the stroke association. This is a charity close to mine and my family’s heart as my grandmother in law suffered several strokes back in 2012 which has impacted and changed all of our lives. 

There are over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, with 100,000 strokes happening in the UK each year. That's one stroke every five minutes. Your support will help them to provide vital services, campaign for better stroke care and fund research into preventative and rehabilitative treatments.
