Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by!

On 26th October 2020, I will be embarking upon a 16-day adventure of a lifetime to Everest Base Camp, situated at the altitude of 17,598ft in Nepal. I will be self-funding this expedition so that all proceeds raised can go directly to Marie Curie. Between now and October I will be undertaking various fundraising activities such as raffles, auctions and sporting events (TBC); so please check back throughout the year for updates!

Any support will be very much appreciated, please donate!

How the money raised helps:

£180 pays for someone with a terminal illness to attend the day therapy unit at the hospice.

£400 pays for someone to stay in a Marie Curie Hospice for 24 hours so that they can receive the hands-on care they need in their final days.

£1,250 pays for a portable oxygen system that will relieve distressing symptoms, so a person doesn’t have to be confined to bed.
