Story
Hey, yo
Over the weekend of June 12th and 13th, I'll be joining a team completing the Lake District Challenge and raising funds for the Stroke Association.
This will be 100km walk over two days to raise money for a charity close to our hearts, due to having experienced members of our family having strokes in the past.
There are over 1.2 million stroke survivors in the UK. This is one stroke in every 5 minutes!
When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt.
Your help will enable this charity:
* to fund pioneering stroke research
* to provide life after stroke services
* to support people in rebuilding their lives after stroke
Times are hard and there are a ton of great causes out there to get behind. However, we'd all greatly appreciate any help! Whether it's a like or a share or a donation to help drive us toward our funding targets. A few kind words or a joke on those days when I really don't want to get up and train wouldn't go a miss either!
We will be doing live videos during the challenge for you to have a good laugh at and also regular updates on our training.
I'd like to invite you to come on a journey with me and if you'd buy me a pint after a long day in the hills ... Don't ... Chuck it in the pot and let me give it to people who change lives!
Thanks in advance for your generosity and support <3
