On June 17th,11 cyclists from Naas Cycling Club will attempt to cycle from Ireland's most southerly point Mizen Headto the most northerly point Malin Head nonstop in 24 hours. The route is 570Km over some of the country's most challenging roads.

Story

Our group of 12 cyclists from Naas Cycling Club will attempt to cycle from Ireland's most southerly point (Mizen Head) to the most northerly point (Malin Head) nonstop in 24 hours. The route is 570Km over some of the country's most challenging terrain, spanning 4,500 metres of elevation. We will need to maintain a 28km/hr average speed to arrive under 24 hours - non stop. Why are we doing this?? We are privileged enough that we get to train and do this event. It is a severe challenge but nothing as challenging as what the Jack and Jill nurses face every day. Most of us will have done about 6000km in training since January to achieve the level of fitness we believe required. Nothing is certain, but we wanted a goal that is aspirational but hopefully inspirational.

We thank you in advance for any contribution you can make. We are completely self-funding this challenge. All funds go to Jack & Jill. Thank you for your generosity.
