Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I began my open water swimming journey in February 2021 and have since swam in many lakes, rivers and on beaches along the Yorkshire coast of the UK.

The mental health benefits of open water swimming have really helped me, in what has been a tough couple of years for many people, I recommend you try it! (do read up on the dangers as well as the benefits before trying).

I want to prove to myself that I can overcome an achievement such as swimming the channel and raise money for a great cause.

I am really proud that as a GBS (Guillain Barre Syndrome) survivor I am able to push myself to complete this monumental swim to France with a team of great people.

EDIT: I was due to swim in 2022 but broke my collarbone a week before the swim *sad face* so I've healed and currently doing all the training (again) to complete in 2023. Let's do this!
