Each year 450 UK children are diagnosed with brain cancer. Among these there is a tumour so aggressive that there is NO effective treatment or a CURE - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma or DIPG. Responsible for 80% of all brain tumour death we raise vital research funds to give hope to DIPG families.

Story

I am sure most of you are aware there have ben some difficult times recently for TWWL and with that in mind we have decided that in 2018 we are going to have a specific charity that we can focus all of out fundraising on.

DIPG is a rare form of paediatric brain cancer that affects 40 children a year in the UK. It is aggressive, untreatable and has a zero-survival rate. As it is so rare there is insufficient research funding from larger national charities and no direct government funding. Parent led charities and advocacy groups are trying to further the research effort.

Abbies Army is one of these groups and is our charity of choice for the year. This is a cause that needs funding to ensure the support, advice and care it provides numerous families can continue for years to come.

With this in mind, every contribution will go a long way to provide a brighter future for all of those affected.
