I am dedicating my first (and last) marathon to Jill Pickup - granny, mum, sister, friend and my mother-in-law - who passed away six months ago. 

Jill was always happy to help anyone in need; family, friends or total strangers. Jill spent her last year in Leeds, so St George's Crypt and the work they do to provide care and support to homeless and vulnerable people in Leeds, perfectly represents her.

Jill has left a hole in the lives of everyone who knew her and I feel proud to remember her and her beliefs, as well as her love of bright colours. So, I'm going one step further and dying my hair bright blue, which should make me easier to spot on the day 😉.
