London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·

WellChild is the national charity for seriously ill children. Thousands of children live with complex medical needs. Many spend months, or years in hospital because there is no support enabling them to leave. We exist to give these children the best chance to thrive: at home, with their families.

Story

This will be my 1st (and quite possibly last) marathon I run.

It's always been an ambition of mine to run a marathon, to raise money for charity. A friend recently ran the 2019 London marathon and listening to him talk about it inspired me to apply for the 2020 event. The charity I have chosen and am honoured to represent is WellChild, the national charity for seriously ill children. It's not a charity I was familiar with but when I read about the amazing work they do for sick children and their families, it really pulled at my heartstrings.                          I haven't trained properly since 2013, so this will be a huge challenge.

Please sponsor me, I would like to raise as much as I possibly can for the sick children and their families.

Love, Adam💕

Meanwhile those who are at home face inconsistent and inadequate levels of support.Through a nationwide network of children's nurses, home and garden transformation projects and family support services, WellChild exists to give this growing population of children and young people the best possible chance to thrive properly supported at home, together with their families.
