Adam's TCS London Marathon 2023 for The Brain Tumour Charity

London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
On 26th May 2022 my beautiful wife Jackie passed away exactly 12 months to the day that we were told that she had a brain tumour. After surgery in June 2021Jackie was diagnosed with a Grade IV Glioblastoma Brain Tumour. We were given the devastating prognosis that Jackie’s condition was terminal and that we should do everything we could to make the most of the remaining time Jackie had with us. In the months that followed Jackie underwent Radiotherapy and Chemotherapy which made her incredibly ill and prevented us from doing even the simplest things that we had planned. Her bravery, determination and pure stoicism throughout her illness were an absolute inspiration to all her family and friends.
It is an absolute honour for me to run The TCS London Marathon 2023 on behalf of The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of Jackie. I will also be running in memory of her sister Debbie who sadly passed away from a Brain Tumour on 5th November 2018. It is difficult to put into the words the impact this devastating disease has had on our family.
I would be grateful for any donation, no matter how small, to support this charity which has become so close to the hearts of all our family and to help Accelerate A Cure.
