REaD Group are joining the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) in their movement against suicide, the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK.

Story

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is leading a
movement against male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age
of 45 in the UK.

Mental Health is not something which is solved quickly, such
as with a single operation – CALM provides the vital ongoing support which is
saving lives every day. I believe that this is even more important in our
current situation in lockdown in the UK, which is affecting us all.

I wanted to take on a challenge which reflects this more
than a one-off event. CALM’s #Project84 highlighted a particularly stunning
statistic: that 84 men in the UK take their lives every week.

My target is to deadlift a total of 84 tonnes within 1
month
, beginning from 18th May, coinciding with the start of Mental
Health Awareness
Week.

Many thanks for your support.
