Adam Gordon and Josh Robertshaw are running the 2023 London Marathon to support Children with Cancer UK. Children with Cancer UK is one of Hilco Capital's charity partners for 2023 which we are proud to support. 

In 2021, during COVID, Adam's 6 year old nephew, Joshy, was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma brain tumour and went through a horrendous and traumatic ordeal which included daily radiotherapy sessions, 10 months of chemotherapy and having to re-learn how to walk and talk. 

Joshy approached each stage of his treatment with true bravery and determination and has recently celebrated being 2 years cancer free. Joshy's courage continues as he tackles the longer term impact from the medications and illness. We wanted to support Children with Cancer to recognise Joshy's heroism and help raise money for the potentially life-changing research that the charity is doing to both find cures for childhood cancer and improve the long-term care for patients. 

For 35 years, Children with Cancer UK has funded much needed research into the causes of childhood cancers, and the development of better, kinder treatments.Their work has contributed significantly to a marked increase in childhood cancer survival rates and improved quality of life for patients as well as increasing awareness and understanding of childhood cancers within the scientific community and among the general public.
