is raising money for Headway - the brain injury association

Team: Snowdon run 02.09.23

Snowdon Run · 10 June 2023

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

I have decided to raise as much money as possible for Headway by running to the summit of mount Snowdon. Headway Worcestershire is a local and independent charity supporting people affected by acquired brain injury across Worcestershire.

Not to long ago a close friend of mine unfortunately had a horrible accident leaving him with a brain injury. Headway were there for everystep of his recovery, without charities like Headway people like my friend wouldn't receive the additional care they require.

The run will see an elevation gain of 1085m, this is going to be one of the hardest challenges I have ever done, physically & mentally but I am ready for the challenge.

Myself and a good friend Adriano are going to continuously run to the summit on June 10th 2023, for two separate charities. Any donations gratefully received for a charity who do fantastic work locally.
