We support adults and children in crisis to empower people and change lives

Story

On the 16th of November i will be taking part in the The Brecon Beacons Ultra Marathon.

This will be the hardest Ultra Marathon race I have ever done covering 75km with over 6,000 ft of climbing over the mountains of South Wales.

With your generous support I am fundraising for Hestia, a charity that provides 23 refuges across London for adults and children who have
been victims of trauma and domestic abuse. There is a centre close to home in Hammersmith, which provides tremendous care in extremely tough circumstances which i have seen work first hand.

Across the UK almost one million children are affected by domestic abuse every year, either directly through their own experience or indirectly by witnessing violence.

Hestia is dedicated to offer care through housing and emotional support as well as providing much needed fun days out for mothers and their children.

One thing they really require help with is the capacity to provide counselling for these children who have often gone through horrendous trauma.

Counselling can help to address behavioural problems, can reduce symptoms of trauma and enable children to improve damaged relationships making a significant difference to their lives.

Hestia pledge that 100% of money received will go towards the direct support of the children with non of it going towards administrative costs.

Thank you in advance for reading this, please feel free to donate, no donation too small.
