UPDATE: Run completed. A hot Saturday. 6 hours and 25 minutes. Good fun. Sore feet. Left with inelegant walking gait. THANK YOU FOR ALL THE SPONSORSHIP!
I have signed up to run 49km (across, and 1300m up) through the Lake District fells on 12 June 2021, and the date is nearly upon me. Kendal to Windemere. I have never even run a city marathon (42km) before, so I figured this was enough of a challenge to justify hitting generous people up for some money for charity.
I've decided to do my hobbling in aid of JUSTICE, which is a great law reform and human rights organisation run by lovely people who work to reform the justice system, with a focus on making it fairer for the most vulnerable.
You can find out more about JUSTICE here: www.justice.org.uk
You can also find out more about my race here (I'm doing the 49km one, not the 25km version (losers) or the 100km version (well, really)), or click through to the two images next to the one above of me looking knackered: Lake District Challenge - Ultra Challenges
